Life in the city has its ups and downs. Nightmarish traffic, overbearing landlords, demanding bosses, and disappointing paychecks are really just scratching the surface of the shit pile. But, as you're about to find out, there are far worse things lurking in the night streets. 

In Darkness Will Fall, there aren't just blood sucking vampires roaming the moonlit streets but a sick population of vampires called reavers that are unstable, volatile, and ravenously hungry for the blood of their own kind. This wouldn't normally be your problem as an average starry eyed nightclub singer trying to make ends meet but, once a bizarre incident leaves you clinging desperately to your life in a dark alley, a chance encounter with a kind stranger will link your fates and change your life forever. 

But be warned - you may have been saved but you aren't safe yet. 

THE STORY

Actions have consequences and the consequence of being allowed to keep your life might leave you wishing for death instead. Your instructions are clear - assist in the reaver investigation and provide results that point conclusively to at least one suspect or your life is forfeit. Easy enough, right? 

It would probably be easier if you weren't so distracted by your growing feelings for the vampires you now live with. And it would definitely be easier if they weren't also potential suspects.

THE GAME

There are many gameplay features to enjoy, including:

A RICH CAST

Encounter a rich cast of vampires that are part of the city coven. 

MEANINGFUL CHOICES

They will remember that. Memory and events system. Choices matter!

INTERACTIVE MAP

Travel around the coven building to speak and interact with coven members. 

QUICK EVENTS

It's a dangerous world. Keep your wits about you and stay out of trouble. Timed choices and quick time events are scattered throughout.

INVESTIGATE MURDERS

Interactive murder case investigation. Discover clues at the crime scene and interview witnesses. Failure influences story events.

PHONE MENU

A condensed menu system in the form of a phone. This menu includes the CG gallery, Route maps, Save/Load functionality, Character Info, and Playable Character stats. 

CHOOSE YOUR PATH

Stay human or become a vampire. Change your gameplay experience. Humans are offered less in this world and vampires are gifted with abilities that allow them to see more than what's on the surface... 

TRIGGER & CONTENT WARNINGS 

Violence, Blood and gore, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, sexual content, murder investigation, language, physical assault, non-consensual blood drinking, LGBTQIA+ issues, mentions of suicide, mentions of severe depression, discussions of trauma, death, and terminal illness.

CUSTOMIZABLE PROTAGONIST

Choose your name, skin tone, and pronouns. 

ROMANCE OPTIONS

4 love interests. Two female, one male, one nonbinary. LGBTQIA+ friendly. All characters are open to any gender. (Though some have Vampire/Human preferences) 

Sex positive romance. (+Kink friendly)

MULTIPLE ENDINGS

(15) Multiple endings. Including dead ends, romance endings, secret endings. 

Around 400k words total. About 100k words per route, which translates to about 6 hours of gameplay.
